Owen McCoy, who passed on July 5th, as documented in his obituary, “was a loving father and grandfather, die-hard Philly sports fan, animal lover, musician/singer, farmers market manager (30+ years), mainstay at the Mainstay, 4-H leader (20+ years), avid traveler, actor, pillar of the community and social butterfly, just to name a few.”
The Mainstay held “A Musical Memorial” for Owen on August 19, 2018. More than 70 of his friends, acquaintances and family attended the tribute.
Tom McHugh, the Mainstay’s first Executive Director, lead the way and served as the afternoon’s MC. Other performances were by Peter Heck, Mary Simmons, Meredith Davies Hadaway, Diane Jones, Clark Bjorke, and Sue Matthews.
