Zack Urbanski – Shoreman of the Week
Freshman soccer player Zack Urbanski (Nottingham, Md./Calvert Hall) is this week’s Shoreman of the Week. Urbanski, who received a medical redshirt last year, finally made his collegiate debut over the weekend and helped the Shoremen to a 2-0 start.
Urbanski tallied five shots (second-most on the team) over the Shoremen’s first two games, which were a pair of 2-1 victories over Stevenson and Hood on Friday and Saturday, respectively. He scored what would prove to be the game-winning goal Saturday against Hood in the 61st minute.
Cassie Kowalski – Shorewoman of the Week
Junior volleyball player Cassie Kowalski (Wilmington, Del./Delaware Military Academy) is this week’s Shorewoman of the Week. Kowalski was named the Most Valuable Player of the DeSales Invitational after helping lead the Shorewomen to a 4-0 record and the tournament title.
Kowalski averaged 2.47 kills (on .223 hitting), 2.73 digs, 0.47 aces, and 0.73 blocks per set over the course of the four matches. She pounded down 16 kills and added 10 digs in a four-set win over Colby Sawyer.
This is Kowalski’s second career Shorewoman of the Week honor.
