Emily Jacoby – Shorewoman of the Week
Freshman soccer player Emily Jacoby (Jackson, N.J./Jackson Memorial) is this week’s Shorewoman of the Week. Jacoby scored the first goal in the Shorewomen’s 2-0 win over Rutgers-Camden Saturday.
Jacoby scored in the 23rd minute to give the Shorewomen the lead for a good in a game where they held a 36-7 advantage in shots. She now has two goals and three assists through just two collegiate games.
Andrew Vernon – Shoreman of the Week
unior sailor Andrew Vernon (Severna Park, Md./Severna Park) is this week’s Shoreman of the Week. Vernon skippered Washington to sixth place in B Division at the Philly Fleet Race over the weekend.
Vernon sailed with crew Haley Wilt in the first three and final nine races in the division and with Lindsay Fullerton in the fourth through sixth races. Vernon and Wilt placed in the top five in seven of their races together, including a win in race 1B and a second-place finish in race 8B.
