Kent County, MD – A Maryland State Police investigation today resulted in the arrest of a suspect related to the rape of two women within six months of each other and the sexual assault of a third woman.
The accused is identified as Mark Charles Blazejak, 21, of Galena, MD. He is charged with two counts of second degree rape, three counts of third degree sex offense, two counts of second degree assault, two counts of reckless endangerment, two counts of false imprisonment, and one count of fourth degree sex offense. He was arrested this afternoon in Centreville, Maryland and is currently awaiting a hearing before a Circuit Court judge.
The investigation began in August 2018 when a victim reported to the Maryland State Police that she had been raped by Blazejak. Investigative efforts led to the identification of other potential victims who were interviewed and disclosed to investigators that they had been sexually assaulted by Blazejak.
