The Maryland League of Conservation Voters has awarded to ShoreRivers its prestigeous 2018 John V. Kabler Award. This award is presented annually to Maryland’s most outstanding environmental leaders.
Past recipients have included noteworthy environmental champions such as Maryland Attorney General Brian Frosh, Maryland Senator Chris Van Hollen, former Maryland Governor Harry R. Hughes, and former Maryland DNR Secretary, John Griffin.
This is yet another reason why I am so thrilled and proud to be a part of the ShoreRivers team. We speak for the rivers with an uncompromising voice protecting our waterways though science-based advocacy, education, and restoration.
The award ceremony will take place Tuesday, October 9 at the Westin Annapolis, beginning at 6pm. For program details, please contact Karen Polet Koory at kdoory@mdlcv.org.
