Chestertown, Md. – Mullin/Ashley Associates, Inc., a Mid-Atlantic-based branding, communications, web design and PR firm, has been named a winner in three national marketing communications awards competitions held during the first half of 2018.
Mullin/Ashley won six awards for marketing materials designed and produced for three clients: Atlantic General Hospital (Berlin, Md.), Dixon Valve (Chestertown, Md.), and Bettcher Industries, Inc. (Birmingham, Oh.).
Dixon Valve and Bettcher Industries are leading worldwide manufacturing firms in their respective industries. An Award of Excellence was won by Mullin/Ashley in The Communicator Awards annual competition for the creation of print advertising that celebrates Dixon Valve’s 100 years in business. The large-format color advertising appeared in trade publications reaching Dixon’s target industrial markets including chemical processing, energy and mining, transportation services, food processing and pharmaceuticals.
A second Mullin/Ashley submission made to the The Communicator Awards competition won an Award of Distinction. This award was for a Bettcher Industries marketing communications campaign supporting the introduction of the company’s new Quantum Flex® Trimmer, a handheld powered meat trimming system used in meat processing plants. The winning campaign encompassed the full range of MarComm materials including brand logo development, digital and print advertising, sales literature, web communications, email and postal mail marketing and tradeshow promotional materials.
In the healthcare industry segment, Mullin/Ashley garnered four national awards for marketing communications materials developed for Atlantic General Hospital. Two Gold Awards were won for a multi-page capital campaign picture-book attracting major financial contributions for the hospital’s five expansion initiatives including construction of a new regional cancer care center, expansion of the Emergency Department, and facility renovation efforts. One Gold Award was received from the annual Aster Awards competition and the other Gold Award came from the annual Healthcare Marketing Awards competition.
Mullin/Ashley won for two other Atlantic General initiatives as well. A TV/cable ad celebrating the hospital’s 25th anniversary was named a Bronze Award winner by the Aster Awards, while the Healthcare Marketing Awards gave an Award of Merit for Mullin/Ashley’s design of the hospital’s care.together community magazine. This 28-page glossy magazine is published several times each year and mailed to households in communities in Maryland’s Worcester and Somerset counties as well as in southern Sussex County, Delaware.
