Rock Hall’s Mayor Brian Jones:
I am proud to announce the winner of the Rock Hall ‘Mayor for a Day’ challenge! Miss. Rachel Jones who is 15 years old and currently a sophomore at Kent County High School. Rachel answered the following questions with creative answers:
1. What is your idea?
Entertainment in our community for all to enjoy.
2. What challenge will your idea address? How will it address this challenge?
Special needs and economically friendly space for all to enjoy in hopes of lowering drug use and to bring more people into the community in hopes of ending brain drain.
3. What are the resources/materials needed to make your idea a reality? How much will it cost?
My idea will need a space for it to be in and items of entertainment to go in it, my idea could cost a lot though we would be able to get grant, government funding, and donations.
4. How did you come up with your idea?
I came up with my Idea after looking at our community and asking myself what we needed also from taking what I learned at school and putting it in a real world situation.
Rachel will spend the afternoon with Mayor Jones and other town officials and assist with the Town Council Meeting on November 8th, 2018 at 7:30 PM. Congratulations Mayor Rachel Jones!
