Alexa Luecke – Shorewoman of the Week
Freshman swimmer Alexa Luecke (Pottstown, Pa./Owen J. Roberts) is this week’s Shorewoman of the Week. Luecke won the 200 individual medley for the Shorewomen in a 150-95 loss at York Saturday.
Luecke won the 200 individual medley with a time of 2:16.72. She was also second in the 1000 freestyle in 11:21.97. She posted the third-fastest time in the 500 freestyle (5:31.58), but received the first-place points as York entered all of their 500 freestyle swimmers as exhibitions.
This is Luecke’s second career Shorewoman of the Week honor.
Alec Lewis – Shoreman of the Week
Junior basketball player Alec Lewis (Jefferson, Md./Brunswick) is this week’s Shoreman of the Week. Lewis averaged 9.3 points per game in a 2-1 week for the Shoremen.
Lewis scored 10 points, converted all three of his field-goal attempts, swiped two steals, and blocked two shots in a 62-55 win over Goucher Monday. He scored another 10 points and also dished out three assists in a 59-54 victory over Haverford Saturday as the Shoremen picked up their first Centennial Conference win. In between, he had eight points and five rebounds in a 78-68 loss at Muhlenberg Wednesday.
This is Lewis’s second career Shoreman of the Week honor.
