MSDE released Maryland School Report Cards summarizing school performance measurements in academic achievement, academic progress, school quality, and student success.
From a Facebook Post by Kent County Public School’s:
The new Maryland Accountability System measures individual MD schools using a 5-star rating system.
KCPS schools were ranked as follows: KCHS- 4 stars; KCMS- 3 stars, Galena- 4 stars, Garnet- 4 stars, Rock Hall- 4 stars.
I have looked at the data on the Report Card Webs site reportcard.msde.maryland.gov and have yet to see any information about a ‘star’ rating.
What I have found in just the few minutes that I have spent on the Web site is that Kent County Public Schools are rated as 14th of the 24 School Systems. The neighboring schools are ranked as:
Cecil – 07
Caroline – 05
Queen Anne’s – 17
Talbot – 20
Other Eastern Shore Schools:
Dorchester – 09
Somerset – 19
Wicomico – 22
Worcester – 23
