Since 2008, except for 2018 due to Ice on the Bay, the Rock Hall VFC has held the Big Dip as a fundraiser for the company. At noon on New Year’s Day they take a dip into the bay at Ferry Beach. Some turn around fairly quick, others will spent a little time in the bay’s cold waters.
