CHESTERTOWN, Md. — Washington College trap and skeet (WCTS) head coach Doug Pfaffhas announced the addition of accomplished competitive shooter and instructor Amy Crowas a new assistant coach for the team.
Crow, whose varied experience includes working at the National Shooting Complex in San Antonio, is a certified National Sporting Clays Association (NSCA) Level 2 instructor.
“I am truly honored to be a part of the Washington College trap and skeet team,” remarked Crow. “Over the years, I have traveled and worked at many shooting ranges. I will be bringing years of shooting experience to the table along with a woman’s perspective on shooting instruction as well as a concentration on Sporting Clays. I am looking forward to working with each team member as we bring them to the next level in their shooting career.”

Her knowledge as a Level 2 NCSA instructor and her national contacts will prove invaluable to our athletes.”

Crow has been an NSCA Level II Instructor since 2005 after receiving her Level I Instructor certification three years before that. She currently works as an independent registration technician for NSCA Tournaments around the country. Prior to moving to Chestertown, Crow spent four years at the National Shooting Complex, the site of the annual ACUI Collegiate Clay Targets Championships. Her previous work experience includes time at the The Shooting Academy at Nemcolin in Markleysburg, Pa., Lake Oconee Gun Club in Eatonton, Ga., and the American Shooting Centers in Houston.
An accomplished competitor, Crow was named to the 2017 NSCA duPont Krieghoff Maryland All-State Team – Lady Division. She was the 2017 NSCA Maryland Lady Champion and the 2015 NSCA National Championships B Class Lady Champion.
Crow received an Associates Degree in Game Preserve Management and Shooting Complex Management from Southeastern Illinois College in 2004. She went on to earn a B.S. in Management, Business Administration from Franklin University, where she graduated cum laude.
