Emily Thiemann – Shorewoman of the Week
Senior basketball player Emily Thiemann (Wilmington, Del./Padua Academy) is this week’s Shorewoman of the Week. Thiemann averaged 10 points and 7.7 rebounds in a 2-1 week for the Shorewomen.
Thiemann scored 18 points and brought down 10 rebounds in a 77-45 win at Bryn Mawr Wednesday. On Saturday, in her final collegiate game, she added 12 points and six rebounds in a 63-59 home win over Dickinson.
This is Thiemann’s third career Shorewoman of the Week honor.
Alec Lewis – Shoreman of the Week
Junior basketball player Alec Lewis (Jefferson, Md./Brunswick) is this week’s Shoreman of the Week. Lewis averaged 22.5 points and 6.5 rebpunds in a 1-1 week for the Shoremen as they clinched their first Centennial Conference Tournament berth in seven years.
Lewis scored 19 points and grabbed five rebounds in a 69-66 loss at McDaniel Wednesday. He then poured in 26 points and collected eight boards in a 96-79 home win over Dickinson as the Shoremen clinched their first conference tournament berth since 2012 and first conference tournament home game since 2006.
This is Lewis’s fourth career Shoreman of the Week honor and third this season.
