Tricia Markey – Shorewoman of the Week
Senior swimmer Tricia Markey (Ardmore, Pa./Merion Mercy Academy) is this week’s Shorewoman of the Week. Markey won two individual events and swam on a winning relay during the Shorewomen’s 120-57 Senior Day win over McDaniel Saturday.
Markey won the 1000 freestyle in 11:33.88 and the 500 freestyle in 5:35.88. She also swam the third leg of the winning 800 freestyle relay team, joining Teresa Draves, Alexa Luecke, and Julia Portmann for a winning time of 8:23.40.
This is Markey’s first career Shorewoman of the Week honor.
Tray Wright – Shoreman of the Week
Freshman basketball player Tray Wright (Baltimore, Md./St. Paul’s School for Boys) is this week’s Shoreman of the Week. Wright averaged 16.0 points, 9.0 rebounds, and 3.0 steals in a 2-0 week for the Shoremen.
Wright scored 17 points, brought down a career-best 13 rebounds, swiped three steals, and had two assists in an 83-67 win at Ursinus Wednesday. He followed that up with 15 points, five rebounds, three steasl, and two assists in a 56-53 win at Gettysburg Saturday.
This is Wright’s second career Shoreman of the Week honor. He was named the Centennial Conference Player of the Week yesterday.
