Alexa Luecke – Shorewoman of the Week
Sophomore women’s swimmer Alexa Luecke (Pottstown, Pa./Owen J. Roberts) is this week’s Shorewoman of the Week. Luecke won four individual events and was part of two relay winning teams this past week.
In a tri-meet win over Albright (174-76) and Bryn Mawr (187-70) on Saturday, Luecke captured the top spot in the 100 freestyle (56.92) and 200 freestyle (2:04.09) in the individual events and was part of the first place teams in the 200 freestyle relay (1:45.80) and 400 medley relay (4:16.66). On Friday versus York (Pa.), the sophomore won a pair of individual events, taking first in the 200 individual medley (2:16.35) and the 500 freestyle (5:30.82).
This is Luecke’s third career Shorewoman of the Week honor.
Daniel Brown – Shoreman of the Week
Senior men’s basketball player Daniel Brown (Silver Spring, Md./Paint Branch) is this week’s Shoreman of the Week. Brown averaged 15 points per game in a 2-0 week for the Shoremen.
Brown drained the winning basket on a three-pointer with two seconds left in a 100-99 double overtime win at Gettysburg on Saturday. On Wednesday in a 67-51 victory versus McDaniel he scored a career-best and game-high 20 points.
This is Brown’s second career Shoreman of the Week honor.
