Town of Rock Hall:
A positive case of the COVID-19 virus related to a dependent of a Town employee has been brought to our attention. The employee does not live in Rock Hall but works here. In the interest of the health and safety of our Town Council members and other Town employees who normally attend Mayor and Council meetings, the meeting scheduled for tomorrow evening at 6pm is being postponed.
The Town’s employees and all Council members will be monitoring themselves daily for any symptoms for the next 14 days. Once the outcome of any potential testing and contact tracing has been completed, the meeting will be rescheduled.
This action is not taken lightly. It underscores the serious need for each and every one of us to exercise personal defensive responsibility:
Wash your hands frequently
Wear a facemask in public places
Practice social distancing of 6 feet
Limit group sizes to 10 people
Stay at home – especially if you are elderly or have any current or recent health issues.
