On Thursday, May 27, 2021 was the opening of Hope House in Rock Hall, MD. Hope House, founded by Pastors William and Karen Wheatley, is a free food and clothing bank located at the former parsonage of Rock Hall Church of God (RHCoG).
Members of the community can donate non-perishable food and articles of clothing 24/7 to Hope House’s drop-off location located in the rear of the building. Riverside Unique in Chestertown can also accept donation.
Hope House is open every third Thursday of the month from 4 pm – 7 pm for those in need of free food and clothing and is offering free assistance with resume writing, job interview prep, and more.
Hope House received one of the grants that the Rotary Club of Chestertown awarded this year. Their grant enabled Hope House to replace the floors in the house. Members of the club attended the opening to show their support.
