The Chestertown Election Board meet on October 1, 2021. Working with the Kent County Board of Elections to verify the Petitions of Candidacy signatures for candidates Town Clerk Jennifer Mulligan presented to the Election Board five (5) petitions for candidacy.
Mayor:
John David Foster filed on September 20, 2021 and met the residency requirements for the position of Mayor. He had a total of forty-three (43) signatures on his petition for Candidacy. Thirty-six (36) signatures were verified as registered voters within the Town limits of Chestertown.
First Ward:
Robert Miller filed his petition on September 29, 2021 and met the residency requirements for Councilmember. He had a total of twenty-eight (28) signatures, all of which were verified as registered voters within the First Ward of Chestertown.
Tim O’Brien filed his petition on September 30, 2021 and met the residency requirements for Councilmember. He had a total of twenty-five (25) signatures, all of which were verified as registered voters within the First Ward of Chestertown.
Third Ward:
Edward Gallo filed his petition on October 1, 2021 and met the residency requirements for Councilmember. He had a total of twenty-six (26) signatures, all of which were verified as registered voters within the Third Ward of Chestertown.
Jose Medrano filed his petition on September 29, 2021 and met the residency requirements. He had a total of twenty-three (23) signatures, all of which were verified as registered voters within the Third Ward of Chestertown.
