Crystal Jones – Shorewoman of the Week
Senior women’s basketball player Crystal Jones (Silver Spring, Md./Wheaton) is this week’s Shorewoman of the Week. Jones netted the tying and winning free throws with nine seconds left in overtime in a 48-47 win last Tuesday night over visiting Haverford.
Jones capped her 10 point, nine rebound and squad-high four assist performance with the two free throws as she tied for team-high in boards and was one of two Shorewomen to score in double figures as Washington College snapped a 15-game losing streak to Haverford. Washington is 5-1 after six games for the first time since 2012-13.
This is Jones’ second career Shorewoman of the Week honor.
Kedrick Frink – Shoreman of the Week
Sophomore men’s basketball player Kedrick Frink (Calvert County, Md./Huntingtown) is this week’s Shoreman of the Week. Frink set a career-high in steals in the Shoremen’s game against visiting Haverford last Tuesday.
Frink led all players with six steals against Haverford for his personal best in the category. He led the Shoremen with seven rebounds and added 11 points as he was one of three Washington College players to score in double figures.
This is Frink’s first career Shoreman of the Week honor.
