One of my favorite areas to photograph during the Holidays are the pop-up displays at Double Woods.
In case you don’t know the Double Woods is a stretch of road on MD 20, south of Fairlee between Sandy Bottom Rd. and Ricauds Branch Rd. that has woods on both sides of the road.
Most of the year you have to watch for wildlife, especially deer. Beginning shortly after Thanksgiving it comes to life with the magic of Christmas. The elfs are busy putting up Christmas decorations. This year they have even hung Santa’s suit to dry in preparation of his yearly trip.
The tradition has be ongoing for many years, and has grown each year. If you are close by, you should take a day time drive to see the magic. If you can’t here are my photos of this year’s magic. And I have a feeling that there may be more before the New Year arrives.
Here’s a Double Woods slide show of this year’s decoration.
