Kent School is an independent school that serves boys and girls from Preschool through Grade Eight. Located on an unparalleled riverside campus just outside of historic Chestertown, Kent School is a student-centered community that focuses on promoting academic and personal growth among all students. Attendees will see examples of Kent School’s nationally recognized Chesapeake Bay Studies curriculum, hands on approach to teaching and learning, and overarching sense of joy and belonging that creates a unique sense of belonging. Prospective students, accompanied by a parent or guardian, are welcomed to attend.

With a strong history of graduating students well-equipped for continued college preparatory study at independent boarding and day schools, parochial, and public high schools, Kent School provides a rigorous academic program in a nurturing and supportive learning environment.

In the past two years, Kent School has welcomed dozens of new students to the community, representing diverse ethnic and racial backgrounds as well as an array of socio-economic backgrounds. These new students came from Washington, Belgium, London, Centreville, Philadelphia, Latvia, Galena, New York, Rock Hall, Spain and Sudlersville. New parents are small business owners, health care workers, teachers, bankers, farmers, diplomats and more. Over 40% of Kent School students qualify for need-based tuition assistance grants, with the average award exceeding $7,500. Kent School’s mission is to guide our students in realizing their potential for academic, artistic, athletic, and moral excellence. Our school’s family-oriented, supportive, student-centered environment fosters the growth of honorable, responsible citizens for our country and our diverse world.
