Local Performer is Back by Popular Demand
Church Hill, Maryland:
New York Drag Queen, Marti Gould Cummings, native of Kent County, is returning to the Church Hill Theater to present a fundraiser of music and laughter. “An Evening with Marti Gould Cummings and Peachez” is set for February 17 at 7:30 PM.
Born and raised in Locust Grove, some of Marti’s earliest stage experiences were here at CHT, as a member of the annual summer Green Room Gang Program. Peachez is Peachez Iman Cummings, Marti’s drag daughter.
Marti is a world-renowned drag artist who has appeared on Bravo, the Good Network, and Fusion.
They made history when they ran for City Council in NYC as the first non-binary and first drag candidate for city office in New York and founded the Hell’s Kitchen Democrats. Marti served on the Mayor’sAdvisory Council on Nightlife and sat on Community Board 9. They were invited to lead a panel at the United Nations making them the first drag artist to do so and have been invited to the White House. They’re a film Queen of NY, (October 2023) documenting their campaign is making waves across the film festival circuit.
Peachez is NYC’s Juiciest obsession. She is the winner of season 23 of Worst Cooks in America and was featured in the Hulu hit Drag Me to Dinner. Peachez is focused on using her platform to highlight Black queens in the city’s seemingly monochromatic nightlife scene. Pairing high energy performance with a clear point of view, Peachez will feed your mind, body, and soul. IG: Peachez.NYC. Their career has expanded the
realms of television, theatre, music, film, selling out shows across the world.
Marti and Peachez will perform one show on Saturday, February 17 th at 7:30. Tickets are $35 in advance and $40 at the door.
