After several years in its temporary location at 5746 N. Main Street, the Rock Hall Branch of Kent County Public Library is moving to a new location!
To facilitate the move and setup of the new space, the Rock Hall branch will be closed Monday, September 16 through Friday, October 4, 2024.
Limited services will be available during the closure:
Returning Books & Other Materials
The outside book drop will be available at 5746 N. Main Street Monday, September 16 through Sunday, September 29.
On Monday, September 30, the book drop will move to the new location at 21258 Rock Hall
Avenue.
Limited Service: Hold Pick Up Only
Items on hold can be picked up at the Rock Hall branch at these times:
• Wednesday, Sept. 18 | 10am-12pm | 5746 N. Main Street
• Wednesday, Sept. 25 | 10am-12pm | location TBA
• Wednesday, Oct. 2 | 10am-2pm | 21258 Rock Hall Avenue
For information on where hold pick ups will take place on Wednesday, September 25, please visit KCPL’s website or call the Chestertown branch on or after Friday, September 20.
Library Questions & Assistance
During this transition, Rock Hall Branch library users can contact the main library in Chestertown for help placing holds, assistance with finding information, and any questions about the Rock Hall move.
The Rock Hall Branch’s new location at 21258 Rock Hall Avenue will open for full service on Monday, October 7. Save the date for a special grand reopening event on Wednesday, October 23!
