Erin O’Reilly – Shorewoman of the Week
Freshman soccer player Erin O’Reilly (Northborough, Mass./Algonquin Regional) is this week’s Shorewoman of the Week. O’Reilly scored two goals and added one assist in a 2-0 week for the Shorewomen, who improved to 4-0 for the first time ever.
O’Reilly scored the game-tying goal and assisted on the game-winning goal in a 2-1 non-conference win at Hood Wednesday, Three days later, she scored the game-winner in the 83rd minute of a 3-2 victory at Gettysburg in the Shorewomen’s Centennial Conference opener. The win was the Shorewomen’s first over the Bullets in 20 all-time meetings and marked the first time in 18 years that they have won their conference opener.
O’Reilly was named the Centennial Conference Offensive Player of the Week yesterday.
Andrew Vernon – Shoreman of the Week
Junior sailor Andrew Vernon (Severna Park, Md./Severna Park) is this week’s Shoreman of the Week. Vernon skippered Washington to seventh place in B Division at the Central Early Fall over the weekend.
Vernon sailed with crew Haley Wilt at the regatta. Their top race finishes were a win in race 2B and a second-place finish in race 3B.
This is Vernon’s second consecutive Shoreman of thw Week honor.
