History Happy Hour
Murder on the Eastern Shore November 2, 2018 – 4 PM
Join the Historical Society of Kent County as they present:
Murder on the Eastern Shore – The Case of Orphan Jones
The precipitating events and the trial of Euel Lee, alias Orphan Jones, make a compelling story about the stresses and strains of Depression Era Worcester County. Our speaker Joseph Moore, author of the 2006 book based on oral history and archival research, provides accurate detail with empathy for all participants in this saga of a senseless murder and the effort of a small, rural community to deal with its prejudice and to see justice served.
