Alyssa Hawes – Shorewoman of the Week
Sophomore women’s basketball player Alyssa Hawes (Baltimore, Md./Our Lady of Mount Carmel) is this week’s Shorewoman of the Week. Hawes set career-bests in points, rebounds and assists in Washington College’s 69-16 win over Bryn Mawr last Tuesday.
Hawes converted all three of her field goal chances for six points, pulled down five points and handed out two assists in the Shorewomen’s victory over the Owls. She helped WC hold Bryn Mawr to just four points and zero field goals after halftime.
This is Hawes’ first career Shorewoman of the Week honor
Dilyn Becker – Shoreman of the Week
Senior men’s basketball player Dilyn Becker (Ephrata, Pa./Ephrata) is this week’s Shoreman of the Week. Becker averaged 12.7 points per game, 3.7 rebounds per game, 3.0 assists per game and 1.7 steals per game in three games last week.
Becker scored a team-best 19 points and tied for game-high in steals with three in addition to pulling down six rebounds against visiting Franklin & Marshall last Tuesday. This past Saturday at Muhlenberg, Becker tied for team-best in assists with five and netted 15 points.
This is Becker’s first career Shoreman of the Week honor.
