Alexa Luecke – Shorewoman of the Week

Freshman swimmer Alexa Luecke (Pottstown, Pa./Owen J. Roberts) is this week’s Shorewoman of the Week. Luecke won four individual events and was second in another in a 2-0 week for the Shorewomen.

In a 111-94 win at St. Mary’s (Md.) Friday, she won the 100 freestyle in 56.32 and was second in the 200 freestyle in 2:00.54. She also swam on the winning 400 freestyle relay, which finished in 3:47.64.

The next day, in a 165-95 Centennial Conference win over Bryn Mawr, Luecke captured three individual first-place finishes. She won the 1000 freestyle in 11.17.10, the 500 freestyle in 5:32.76, and the 100 freestyle in 56.73. She also swam on the 200 freestyle relay which posted the fastest time of 1:45.55 as an exhibition entrant.

Nate Braddock – Shoreman of the Week

Freshman swimmer Nate Braddock (Silver Spring, Md./Springbrook) is this week’s Shoreman of the Week. Braddock won both distance events in a 116-56 win for the Shoremen at St. Mary’s Friday.

Braddock won the 1000 freestyle in 10:18.36, bettering his own standing as the Shoremen’s ninth-fastest swimmer ever in that event, and also won the 500 freestyle in 4:58.63. He also swam on the fastest 400 freestyle relay team, which finished in 3:17.01 as an exhibition entrant.
