Alison Pantazes – Shorewoman of the Week

Senior lacrosse player Alison Pantazes (Middletown, Del./Middletown) is this week’s Shorewoman of the Week. Pantazes tied the single-game school record by handing out seven assists in the Shorewomen’s 16-12 win over Randolph-Macon Saturday.

Pantazes’s performance was the fifth seven-assist game in team history. Earlier in the week, she scored a pair of goals in the Shorewomen’s 18-7 win over Coast Guard.

This is her first career Shorewoman of the Week honor

Ryan Zwier – Shoreman of the Week

Junior baseball player Ryan Zwier (Newark, Del./Christ School [N.C.]) is this week’s Shoreman of the Week. Zwier hit .412 with 12 RBI and six runs scored over the Shoremen’s final eight games in Florida, finishing a 10-0 trip to the Sunshine State. The Shoremen are off to an historic 13-0 start.

Zwier belted two home runs over the course of the eight games between last Monday and Saturday. He also had two doubles and a triple while recording 14 hits in 34 at-bats. He slugged .706 over the eight games.

The Shoremen’s 13-0 start represents the longest single-season win streak in team history, which dates back to at least 1871.

This is Zwier’s first career Shoreman of the Week honor.
