Mainstay Monday’s host Joe Holt is joined by Jen Friedman. on September 27, 2021 Jen was born in Baltimore and raised in Hagerstown. She moved to Chestertown in 1992 to attend Washington College. Jen graduated in 1996 with a BA in American Studies and a Minor in Drama and, to our delight, has remained in Kent County ever since. She is a much loved fixture in our local arts and theater community, having performed in countless productions in all of our area venues. Jen has also been the emcee of the annual Women Helping Women production at the Garfield Center, from its beginning.

Jen is outrageously funny, and will bring a night of improvised comedy to Mainstay Monday (somehow) accompanied byJoe.

These eclectic evenings happen Monday nights and are hosted by our own Joe Holt at the piano, partnering with a special guest. Each week is a unique, one of a kind show. Seating is casual and tables are available (bring your own dinner, if you like), along with a cash bar. Doors open at 6:30 pm with the show starting at 7:00.

Tickets are $12 and can be purchased online or at the door.

Message from the Mainstay on Keeping Live Music Safe

As the COVID pandemic wears on, The Mainstay continues to do everything we can to continue to bring you Musical Magic live and in-person as safely as possible. Practices and policies at performance venues are evolving to meet the challenge of rising COVID infections and hospitalizations. In the face of this, we turned to our audience, and you responded overwhelmingly in favor of the following policy:

– The Mainstay will now require of all patrons, employees, volunteers, and performers, proof of full vaccination with corresponding govenment issued ID for admission.
– if you are unable to provide this, documentation of a negative COVID test obtained immediately prior to showtime may be substituted.

If you have any questions about this policy, you can contact the Mainstay at info@mainstayrockhall.org.

The Mainstay will also continue to require our previously stated mask policy:

– All patrons must wear masks inside The Mainstay regardless of vaccination status.
– If you don’t have a mask, we will provide one for you at the entrance to The Mainstay.
– For the protection of audience members, staff, and musicians, if you feel sick, please stay home.
