Easterseals Victoria Donovan Recognized in Top Three Direct Support Professionals in State

New Castle, DE

Victoria Donovan, a Direct Support Professional (DSP) with Easterseals Delaware & Maryland’s Eastern Shore in Georgetown, DE, has been honored as one of just three DSPs in Delaware recognized for their outstanding work supporting people with disabilities.

Donovan, from Milford, DE, received the Division of Developmental Disabilities Services (DDDS) Advisory Council Advocacy and Empowerment Award for her exceptional commitment to person-centered support and her dedication to helping people with disabilities develop confidence, make their own choices and use their voices to advocate for themselves.

As a DSP in Easterseals’ day program for adults with intellectual/developmental disabilities, Donovan supports individuals in developing skills, exploring interests, building relationships and working toward greater independence. She was nominated because of her work creating engaging, individualized learning opportunities that encourage participants to actively participate and make decisions about their own lives.

The awards for the top three DSPS were presented at the 2026 Delaware Direct Support Professional Summit sponsored by the Delaware Division of Developmental Disabilities.
